Carolyn Gala

Do you like feel good stories with a happy ending? Have you heard the one about the young woman who scheduled an appointment with Key Resource Group, way back in March of 1988, and cancelled her first two appointments because she really wasn’t interested in the position she was applying for? Her name was Carolyn Gala.

Needing to pay the rent, she finally arrived at her third scheduled interview. The interviewer, aggravated and sensing that Carolyn wasn’t interested in the job, closed her file and said, “Why are you here today? You don’t even seem interested in this position!” Carolyn was nervous and had absolutely no idea whatsoever how to reply, so she blurted out, “I’d like to do what you do!” Keep in mind, other than knowing that this person conducted interviews, she hadn’t a clue what they actually did. But, with some luck and much convincing, she landed a job working as a Recruiter on the Direct Hire Team.

Fast forward two months. Carolyn broke every sales record the company had ever set, placing people in positions they fit in; it turned out to be a natural talent for her. Within two years, she was managing the direct hire division and had founded and managed a legal placement division that is still, to this day, WNY’s premier legal staffing service. She quickly and consistently became recognized as one of the top ten recruiters in the United States, within a wide variety of industries. Within 15 years she became a Partner with KRG, and 18 years after her fateful interview, became the sole owner of Key Resource Group, which she has grown to become the 7th largest woman owned employer in WNY today!

It just goes to show you, if you don’t know what your passion or talent is in life, keep looking and explore every opportunity and you just might find it. Back in 1988, Carolyn didn’t know it, but her passion was being an entrepreneur, helping people find jobs they love, and developing strong relationships with her clients.

Adrienne Faso

Adrienne Faso

Vice President of Operations

After studying history and a career in HR and Staffing, Adrienne discovered her passion was…..accounting. A success story in changing careers, Adrienne has been with KRG for over 11 years and leads the Finance team in the delivery of reporting, budgeting, payroll, insurance management, organizational strategy and human resources functions.

When not knee deep in spreadsheets you can find Adrienne on the fields, courts and ice rinks of Western New York with her two young boys, Eli and Bennett. She and her husband, Matt, make their home in the city’s Elmwood Village where they love the dynamic and walkable neighborhood. Adrienne is the most outgoing and generous person we know and is known to pop into an interview just to say hello!

Erica Duncan

Erica Batten

Senior Staffing Manager

Erica joins us from San Diego, CA, having relocated to Buffalo with her husband for job opportunities and to be closer to family.

After working in management in the real estate and property management industry for 25 years, Erica transitioned to working in advertising sales, boutique furniture rental sales, and eventually found her passion in recruiting and staffing. Erica has been doing recruiting and staffing for over 3 years and joins the team as the Senior Staffing Manager.

When she is not assisting clients or interviewing candidates for employment opportunities, Erica loves to travel domestically and abroad and even hiked Macchu Picchu about 10 years ago on a trip to Peru. She also enjoys hiking, softball, and is looking forward to spending more time in her backyard with her dog and hopefully, raising chickens!

Kimberly Lewis

Kimberly Lewis

Legal Staffing Manager

Kim graduated with a Bachelor’s in Sociology from SUNY Potsdam. A native of Syracuse, Kim moved to Buffalo for new job opportunities and a fresh start. Prior to joining Key Resource Group’s Legal Division, Kim worked as a legal recruiter for a full service, highly regarded local law firm with 275 attorneys in 11 offices located across New York and the Northeast. She brings her experience in coordinating and hiring attorneys including associates, counsel and partner and law students in practice area specific positions. She has extensive organizational, planning and scheduling skills and an eye for detail to keep the hiring process moving swiftly and efficiently.

Kim was also active in implementing multiple diversity recruiting initiatives and identifying opportunities to expand diversity recruiting efforts. She continues to be active in this area by maintaining relationships with career services and diversity officers at various law schools throughout the Northeast. While working as a Legal Recruiter, she discovered her passion for working with law students and attorneys as well as developing solid relationships with her clients.

In her free time, Kim enjoys walking for exercise, watching movies, listening to music and creating beats on her laptop.

Renata Papisz

Renata Papisz

Legal Staffing Manager

Renata joins Key Resource Group’s Legal Division with over ten years of staffing experience in the legal, administrative, executive and healthcare arenas in NY & NJ. Highly skilled in full cycle recruiting, she has sourced for high volume key accounts in many specialized areas over the years. Renata implements robust and creative recruiting strategies that make certain she always has qualified candidates in her pipeline. Tenacious is a great way to describe Renata; she does not stop until she finds exactly what her clients are looking for.

She’s also a strong relationship builder who recognizes that reputation is everything in our industry and hers is stellar.

When she isn’t searching for the perfect candidates, Renata enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children, as well as her extended family and friends.

Tracey Oddi

Tracey Oddi


Tracey graduated from ITT Technical Institute with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She is a SHRM Certified Professional and a Certified Plan Sponsor Professional. Prior to joining Key Resource Group, she worked as a Director of Human Resources for three years. As a result, she has extensive experience in recruiting, interviewing, negotiating job offers and onboarding new staff. She planned and oversaw training, new hire orientation and administration of benefits. Tracey also brings ten years of accounting experience with her ranging from accounts payable to general ledger, with year end reporting and financial statement preparation. Tracey’s past experience translates well into her role as a Recruiter, it gives her the opportunity to place people in the jobs they belong in.

Tracey is very active in maintaining her professional and technical knowledge by attending educational seminars, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.

In her free time, Tracey enjoys spending time with her family, including her two English Bulldogs.

Meghan Provenzano

Meghan Provenzano

Resource Coordinator

Meghan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Buffalo State College. A few years later she earned a Master’s certificate in Professional Writing and Digital Communication from the University at Buffalo.

Before she was hired as our Resource Coordinator, Meghan had been using KRG’s services to find a job. When an opening arose to join our team, Meghan jumped at the opportunity! From posting job updates to providing administrative support to our recruiters, Meghan is always ready to assist wherever she can.

In her free time, Meghan can be found with a book in her hand. She also enjoys walking around her North Buffalo neighborhood and trying out new spots in the city’s ever-growing restaurant scene.

Diane Prystajko-Martin

Diane Prystajko-Martin

Sourcing Specialist

Diane joins KRG with twenty plus years of diverse experience working in local law firms, design firms as well as local manufacturing companies and we are thrilled to have her on our Team! Little did she know that her past experience prepared her perfectly for her career as a Sourcing Specialist at KRG as she’s worked in many of the industries we service. Diane’s keen ability to perfectly match candidates for the industries we place in is second to none. She enjoys meeting and working with new people and thrives when challenged with locating hard-to-find Candidates. Diane is an upbeat, organized, seasoned professional and she has found her home with KRG and we absolutely adore her.

Diane graduated from Erie Community College with a degree in Office Management and Information Technology. When she’s not spending time with her husband, family and friends, you’ll find her walking her bull dog, practicing yoga and reading. Diane is also the proprietor of an Etsy shop where she sells minerals and crystals.

Lisa Lamprecht

Lisa Lamprecht

Office Manager

A graduate of Houghton Academy in Accounting and Business Administration, Lisa brings over 35 years of experience to the KRG team. Her experience includes finance, human resources, IT, marketing, property management and a brief stint as a location scout for a county film commission in Northern California. She enjoys working behind the scenes to keep things moving smoothly. Her support keeps us working as a team putting people to work as efficiently and seamlessly as possible.

Lisa is a New York transplant from California that loves living in Western New York. She is often asked her why she left California. Her answer: the art scene, the architecture and most importantly, the people! Buffalo has shown her over and over again that it really is the City of Good Neighbors.

When she is not working Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband Michael and their dog Benny, a lab and border collie mix. She also is learning to paint with watercolor, crochets and gardens when the weather permits.

Marketing Specialist

Maria graduated from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. After 15 years of corporate design experience, she moved on to follow her passions working on commissioned paintings & personal artwork, instructing art lessons & providing freelance design services to multiple businesses throughout WNY. Maria joins KRG with the drive to help in any way possible, whether it be graphic design projects or supporting our administrative and marketing functions as she is an all-around team player.

Outside of KRG Maria spends her free time with her friends & family. She loves being in nature & is an avid hiker & bicyclist. When not out exploring the world Maria can be found painting, listening to music or audiobooks & soaking in as much of life as possible!

With over 30 years’ experience, Andrea is an integral part of our Accounting Team. As a dedicated and detail-oriented professional, she is always ensuring the accuracy and transparency of our accounting needs. When she isn’t reviewing reports, Andrea makes the most of her time with her family. She resides in the Southtowns with her husband and three daughters. Always smiling, Andrea brings a bit of sunshine with her wherever she goes!
